About CY School of Ballet
Founded in 2019 by Ms. Chloey Li and Mr. Chen Sheng, CY School of Ballet offers professional ballet training for children (ages 3+) and adults — from beginners to professional levels.
Rooted in Chinese cultural values and based in Montreal, CY Ballet blends Eastern artistic heritage with Western ballet excellence. Our programs include classical ballet, Chinese classical dance, contemporary, and more — all taught in a nurturing, multilingual environment (French, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish).
We believe in discipline, creativity, and opportunity. Our students regularly shine on stage and in competitions, including top rankings at YAGP Canada, and many have been accepted into elite institutions such as:
-
Paris Opera Ballet School (Summer Intensive)
-
Canada’s National Ballet School
-
Joffrey Ballet School (Summer Intensive/ Scholarships)
-
Alberta Ballet School
-
École supérieure de ballet du Québec
Every summer, all of our students perform at Montreal’s prestigious Place des Arts theatre for our end-of-year recital. Even our youngest dancers experience the thrill of performing on a professional stage and feel the magic of live performance. This recital also serves as a charity event — 50% of ticket sales are donated annually to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
As an official Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exam center, we maintain a 100% exam pass rate, with multiple students achieving High Distinction.
Our studio is located on Montreal’s South Shore, just 2 minutes from Brossard-Panama Terminal, with ample parking (2077 Ave. Victoria, Saint-Lambert, QC J4S 1H1).
At CY Ballet, we don’t just teach dance — we nurture passion, discipline, and confidence that lasts a lifetime. Whether you're taking your first steps or aiming for the world stage, your journey begins here.
